The Labour Government have caused outrage with their plan to strip 20,000 pensioners across Elmbridge of their winter fuel payments.
This decision has been criticised by organisations such as Age UK for the impact it will have on pensioners later this year.
Labour have taken vital support away from those most in need in our borough. Some people who are just a few pounds above the limit will be forced to choose between eating and heating this winter.
Local Conservatives are calling for the Liberal Democrats to get the Council to step in and support those pensioners who will be in need this winter. We want to see the Council providing funding so no pensioner in Elmbridge has to choose between heating and eating.
