The Conservative Policy Forum (CPF):
What we do
- develop and advance Conservative ideas and policies within the Party and in Government for the benefit of the whole country;
- create regular opportunities for all members, regardless of age or location, to discuss the challenges facing the country and to have real influence on Party policy;
- champion Conservative policies locally and nationally to support the election of Conservative candidates at every level of government.
The CPF is the vital link between ordinary members of the Party and Government. The CPF makes it clear to every Conservative Member that no matter who you are, where you live, or what your experience of politics is, your voice will be heard and will count.
How we do it
We hold informal discussions on a particular topical subject to gain the opinions and views of our members.
We meet on the first Wednesday of every month from 8pm to 9:30pm at the Walton Conservative Club, 4 Manor Rd, Walton-on-Thames KT12 2PB.
We either discuss a specific topic sent from Central Office or our own topic.
A summary of our discussion on specified topics is sent to the relevant Minister.
Our members have a wide range of views and ages and come from all backgrounds. Our discussions are usually quite lively and always enjoyable. Members often have a drink before the meeting and discussions usually carry on in the bar afterwards. Members attend meetings when they can, there’s no need to come each month if you can’t make it. If you have views on a topic and can’t make the meeting, we circulate those views by email too.
