Parents in Esher & Walton constituency are concerned about the availability of secondary school places - Dominic Raab listened and has acted.
Since becoming MP in 2010, with the rising birth rate there was substantial pressure on school places. We've seen expansions of our primary schools and Dominic has previously secured funding to boost Three Rivers Academy in Hersham which has had a big expansion. Now we have Cobham Free School poised to move into a permanent site by September 2020 and Walton Heathside - a brand new secondary school - is on track to open in 2021, subject to planning permission.
Dominic said: "What that means is at the end of that process, every school in our constituency will be good or outstanding and we'll have enough school places to deal with the shortfall. I think that's a major achievement and I'm very proud of it."
