Freddie speaks to local residents
Freddie and Steve Bax

Freddie Ingle is standing to be the next councillor in Molesey.

A by-election in the ward of Molesey East will be taking place on Thursday 2nd November, and Freddie tells us why Molesey Hurst Rec is a big reason that he is standing to be elected.

Freddie says:

I am campaigning to stop the council from building up to 120 new properties on Molesey Hurst Rec.

One of the best things about living in Molesey is its green spaces and local leisure facilities. Sadly, the Lib Dem led council is trying to sneak in the sale of some of the Rec to property developers so they can build flats on it.

This development would destroy people’s ability to use the Rec for organised sport as the space is slowly chipped away by flats and cars.

Beyond that, the council’s plan to concrete over the Rec doesn’t include any infrastructure to support it.

This development will do nothing to lower house prices, will create congestion and chaos on our roads and worst of all will do huge damage to our valuable green space. I need your help to stop it.
