Sign our petition to save our paddling pools
Last year the Liberal Democrat-run Council tried to close all local paddling pools and splashpads and were only stopped when local parents spoke out and 1,500 of them signed our petition. This year, despite the hot weather and global cost of living crisis, they’ve decided they’re going to try to close them again.
With Council Tax one of the highest in country in Elmbridge, scrimping to save £60,000 (the equivalent of the council tax of just 30 average households!) is mean spirited and a terrible way to treat local families, especially those on lower incomes who use the paddling pools the most.
