This week in Parliament, our Lib Dem MP for Esher and Walton voted with Labour to scrap the two-child benefit cap.
That means more spending, more debt and less fairness for working families.
The Conservatives introduced the cap to make sure families on benefits make the same choices as those in work. It’s about living within our means and respecting the taxpayer.
Scrapping the cap would cost £3.5 billion every year. Labour and the Lib Dems have no plan to pay for it. Reform didn’t even turn up to vote.
Only the Conservatives are standing up for a welfare system that’s fair and sustainable.
