Local Conservative Tim Oliver was re-elected at the Esher by-election on Thursday 21st June. Thank you to all those who voted for him and helped with his campaign. On 22nd June Tim was reappointed to the post of Elmbridge Cabinet Member for Resources, the post he held prior to the May elections.
The result was as follows;
- Tim Oliver (Local Conservatives) - 711 votes
- Gary Lay (Esher Residents Association) - 665 votes
- Mick Moriarty (Labour) - 91 votes
- Denis Hill (UKIP) - 30 votes
The turnout was 30.66%. Elmbridge Conservatives now hold 32 out of 60 seats on Elmbridge Borough Council.
